He covers songs but changes them to a lounge style. His cover of "Down With The Sickness" was featured in the remake of Dawn of the Dead.October Hushhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06930602786591901677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26544356251126891.post-69003277662962119962008-04-14T13:16:00.000-04:002008-04-14T13:16:00.000-04:00I didn't remember the song. It's not available at Barnes & Noble. I found it on Amazon, but couldn't get the *listen* button to work.
I can see why people still download for free, because the selection is much richer and complete. The music companies still don't get it! They have no clue what their customers want, even the ones who would rather pay for their music.
Anyway, I finally found a sample to listen to, and *I LOVE IT* This is Hell by Elvis Costello is the perfect song to play at the fashion show!
Awesome, Tober.Seraphinehttp://encoreseraphine.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26544356251126891.post-63929782246406382702008-04-10T14:13:00.000-04:002008-04-10T14:13:00.000-04:00Oh! The funny thing is I heard a recording where he sang naturally (without the faux-falsetto voice) and he has (had?) a good voice.
The reason I asked about the music is I am thinking of using Hell as a theme in the May Day fashion show. I want the show to be a bit darker and more gothic feeling. But I don't want it to be a hell fashion show (demonic skins, devils with pitchforks with Megadeth music), necessarily. I like the idea of contrasts (Jesus is alright with me) added in.
Anyway, it's something I've been playing with in my mind, if you have some song ideas.Seraphinehttp://encoreseraphine.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26544356251126891.post-31452013008932845712008-04-10T13:51:00.000-04:002008-04-10T13:51:00.000-04:00Probably Christian music, yeah. That lite pop Christian music.

That or any of those crappy new R&B or Hip-Hop songs that heavily sample other songs and have a lot of "Uhn Uhn" and stuff like that in them. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of hip hop...just not that awful new pop crap.

By the way, I met Tiny Tim at my local airport. He had a few ukeleles hanging off of him, and was buying something at the newsstand. I went up to him and said "Hey, you're Tiny Tim!" and he replied "Yeah, how have you been?" Haha.October Hushhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06930602786591901677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26544356251126891.post-70884934166533718282008-04-10T13:43:00.000-04:002008-04-10T13:43:00.000-04:00Question: When you thinkof HELL, what kind of musi...Question:
When you think
of HELL, what kind of music
do you hear?
Tiny Tim?
Metallica?
